Also, please be sure and tip (WELL) the ladies and bartenders as they work hard to keep you entertained and happy..
by Todd Essen on Full disclosure: I am not usually a dance club kinda gal. But in the spirit of true confessions, I will admit that I am insanely jealous of people who have no problem whatsoever getting out on a dance floor and shaking what their mama gave 'em...I am just too painfully self-conscious to be one of them. In fact, my goal for 2008 is to loosen up a bit, and dancing seems like a perfectly legal way to do so. That's why I went to Fluid on Sunday night (that and a well-deserved girls night). Dancing fans will know that Sunday's at Fluid is home to the lovely Psydde Delicious' "Fast, Cheap and Out of Control" party, and it was a good time. Not only was he dressed entirely in leather (sorry vegans!) but he played some awesome music that had me bobbing my head while I sulked in the corner drinking lager. Baby steps, right? Baby steps! There were some people who seemed cool , but everyone seemed to already know each other. I did meet a lovely couple who made me feel welcome...so thank you red shoes girl and boyfriend! Next time I hope to make strides to being either fast or cheap...I'm kinda a control freak, so I'll take a pass on that one :) I think it's best to go with a group, so my assignment for the next month is to find a group of people who will join me in my quest to dance. In public. I smell a rateclubs outing!!! Any takers?
