Overpriced cafeteria food. The atmosphere is nice, and the service is quick given the volume of people but eh I don't know the food was lacking. I was expecting to be blown away but I've had better burgers from a dive bar. The burger was pretty juicy and decently cooked, a little rarer than I asked for but it just look processed. It didn't look natural. I wasn't impressed with the barbecue sauces either. One of them tasted soo bad. The salt on the fries was probably the highlight of my visit but getting a side of fries puts the meal at over 12 dollars which I think is alot for a simple burger and fries. I would go back but only if I was peer pressured.

While Anthony Bourdain claims that San Francisco's celebrity chefs such as Laurent Manrique of Aqua and Hubert Keller of Fleur de Lys enjoy culinary inspiration and R&R at Ruby Skye while soaking up its DJ heavy electronic dance music, the prospect of rubbing shoulders with these chefs at this venue still doesn't make me want to go back. Yeah, Ruby Skye, not really my scene. When I was younger (AKA didn't know any better), I was in awe of Ruby Skye and just how damn cool it seemed. Sure, there was one night where my friends and I enjoyed an evening dancing to BT, but I've moved on. The last time I was there, I was hit with the overwhelming atmosphere of "trying too hard" and "lack of taste." And don't get me started on the upstairs smoking room. Cough cough, choke choke. It's just a shame since the interior and architecture of the building is gorgeous. You'll just have to pay a ridiculously exorbitant cover to go in and see it.
