Trigger is a real club. That statement may seem obvious, but San Francisco clubs often seem like glorified bars to me. Not Trigger though. They have a cage. Hot go-go guys. And when I came here this past Friday they delivered with one the most energetic DJ sets I've seen in awhile - starring the Eye Candy twins - http://www.myspace.com..., who mixed the crowd into a stupor with house, electronic, and 70'S and 80's soul and disco, all while jumping around on stage - shirtless and donning huge grins. One of the drawbacks about Trigger is that they always have a cover. But it's usually only around five dollars and you're guaranteed a bumping night of songs that you can belt along with. I mean come on any place with a cage in the middle of the dance floor promises to be a interesting night... though I'd got further and say a good one.... - http://www.youtube.com...

How could I have forgotten about Fluid? Maybe because it's entrance is pleasantly tucked away in a back alley on a street that's off of South Street. Fluid definitely has the best hip hop nights by far. I mean, I've seen Questlove? and some of his friends DJ here on a number of occasions. They also started having a cool monthly hip hop event called Hot Heat that's worth checking out (sometimes my painter friends Vorcan paint during the music). But Fluid isn't just about Hip Hop. It's also the home of Sex Dwarf. WXPN's Robert Drake and friends spin plenty of good 80's music, and it's the premiere New Wave Party in the city! and let's not forget about Fast Cheap And Outta Control!

Down the street from paradise lounge. I like this club, but 3 stars because the dancing room downstairs is not big enough for me and my big butt. I also like that there is an upstairs and downstairs, just in case you want to hide from that creepy guy who's been giving you the eye all night. Parking sucks, so kudos to you if you think you can get parking nearby at 11pm.
