I came here, expecting it to just be another overhyped, trendy restaurant, and it wasn't. The cocktail list was creative and lengthy. The food was just as interesting; my pizza with peaches and prosciutto really worked. Not only that, but the prices were great. I'll definitely be returning.

came here on a company paid outing.. it was a small group of 8, so we took up the last two pool tables and had a private party at the end of the pool area.. When 3 of us first arrived, the girl at the front gave us a weird look and didn't seem to understand the word "reservations".. Then my big old boss's boss (i will call him.. boss-man) arrives and she's like leading him in.. wtf.. do you not understand us? anyways.... the appetizers weren't bad..and we were starving, so we devoured everything. Our waiter J.P. was sooo accommodating, polite and nice... i hope he got a fattyass tip. Boss-man was drinking and a few drinks later, started calling the guy P.J. me: i think his name is J.P. Remember, you said "Hi J.P., I'm J.D!" boss-man: mmm are you sure... i think it's P.J. me: nooo.. it's J.P. boss-man: ok lemme ask.. J.P.: it's ok, you got it right the first three times.. All in all, it was a good experience. However! Based on their drink prices ($9 and up!) and previous times i've been here, it is way too pricey here.. The happy hour is $1off drinks (woohooooo.. a whole dollar!) and the appetizers are half off. I ate here for dinner and it wasn't memorable. the place also turns into a club at night. strange.. so, this rating is for the good time had by our group, pool, the ginormous screen, and for J.P. you rock!

The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because I met my bf here. Yeah, yeah...we met at this club over a year ago and we're still together. So yay for that. I'm not saying that everybody is going to meet their significant other here, but you never know. This is the old Polyesthers, so it has a lot of old club vibe (e.g., checkered dance floor). A lot of kiddies in their early 20's go here. So if they're talking about working at Meryvn's it ain't Mervyn's corporate. Sign up on the guestlist so you can get in free before 11pm. This club is located in a really ghetto neighborhood.
