by Neva Ruehling on Though it's lost some of its luster over the years, The Box still delivers a good time with unexpected highlights (the naughty yet exciting intermittent stage performances that will impress, delight, or disgust, depending on your disposition, every time) to an evening out. I've only been during the week and have always enjoyed it here. If you haven't gone, I suggest going at least once - it's definitely worth the unique burlesque-lounge experience you'll most surely have!
by Claire R. on I do indeed like this place, I've only been 3 or 4 times but everytime has been a hit, there's always been a great DJ which of course sets the tone, it does get crowded and hot, even in the dead of winter but the dancing is fabulous and the drinks are good too. Don't worry about dropping glasses, it happens all the time, just kick it off to the side and get a new one :)
by Betsy Abrachinsky on I've been going to Margarita Jones for a while now, helped along quite a bit by the "buy one entree, get one for $2" coupons that keep popping up in my mail. I have yet to be disappointed. I'm no expert on traditional Mexican food, but I usually shoot for the special (written on the whiteboard outside), and am rewarded with tasty meats. On the other side, the bar has a good happy hour (margarita pitchers for $20 and the free appetizer deal). Actually, make that two weeknight happy hours, so you only lose if you show up between 7 and 9. Definitely one of my favorite local spots when I feel like going out but don't have a plan.
