Great spot! Friend brought me by on my overnight stay in Los Angeles and I'm glad she did. There was a live jazz group performing and they were great!! There was a great mix to the crowd in the place. The decor was great. Someone mentioned steampunk in one of the reviews and he was spot on. Lots of little nooks to sit and talk if thats your thing. Dance floor right in front of the raised stage. The main portion is underground with a entry and smaller area upstairs. My friend told me that the electrical equipment on display was used to power the trolleys back in the day. I loved the look and feel of this place.

I'm feeling nice today, so I'm gonna give this place 4 stars. This is a great place to go when you have a group with half dancers and half non-dancers. Plus it's near some other fun bars if this place is lame that night. The bouncers are funny, the bartenders are sweet and fast and poured me STIFF STIFF drinks. The patrons range from normal people to drunken idiots. Lots of comical people watching... There was one girl who would not stop doing the Charleston, an old lady trying to get jiggy with a 'pop and lock' wanna be dancer, a techno glowstick dance dude (barf!) with his half naked eskimo boot girlfriend (they HAD to be on E or something...), some girl who spilled drinks all over me and Jessica L. and then had the nerve to try to take OUR drinks cause she thought we spilled them. Um... No drunk ass - that was you and your friends who spilled in my shoe. Yes... my feet are sticky. No, Larry Y. did not buy you any drinks, he's Jessica L.'s bf bee-yotch! All this trashy drunken-ness made me feel sober and old. (Despite being 4 drinks in and only 26 years old). What a night.... All the craziness reminded me of the good old days back at the Abbey Tavern. Only everyone here was over 21.
