Came here last night with 4 people for a Zagat 8 course menu special they were having. Our reservation was for 8:15pm. We waited in the Terrace bar and grabbed a drink. I asked the Hostess at 8:45pm how our table was looking. She said they were just finishing dessert and we'd be seated any moment. We didn't get seated until 9:05pm though, so we were off to a rough start. It would have been great if they offered us an appetizer or drink. The places was really busy for a Tuesday night, so maybe the Zagat thing flooded them. As our complimentary chef items they started us off with a Naan & dipping sauce dish and also champagne. Things were starting to look better. Then 8 courses they presented to us were as follows: - MICHAEL'S CAVIAR PARFAIT: It was good to try, but I'm not sure that I'd order it again. - AHI TUNA TARTARE: Also a dish that was good, but I felt it missed the wow factor. Also wouldn't order it again. - HEIRLOOM BEETS: This was a really good dish. The burrata, beets, balsamic, and olive oil really came together well. I would have eaten more beets as kids if my mom made this. - SEA SCALLOP TEMPURA: I really liked all the flavors and textures in this dish. The Cauliflower, Passion Fruit, Edamame, and Amonds were a good combo. My scallop seemed a little off though. - TAI SNAPPER: It was Tapioca crusted with Broccoli Rabe and White Soy Vinaigrette. I think this dish surprised us all the most because we probably won't have ordered it on our own. Once again all the flavors paired really well together and the Rabe was like a flavor explosion in your mouth. - KOBE BURGER & TRIO OF FRENCH FRIES: talk about hitting the spot. This was just what the palate needed. I've order Kobe burgers a handful of times before and every time I've said it wasn't worth it. This time was totally different. The little silver dollar sized burger was cooked perfectly. The french fries cooked in duck fat were really good also. Super flavorful and crispy. One of the people at our table didn't care for the ketchup though. - LAMB TWO WAYS w/ TZATZIKI & CHICKPEA PUREE. This dish came out while we were still eating our burger dish. They took it back. There was 2 little lamb tenderloins pieces and 2 pieces of lamb sausage. The lamb seemed a little dry. Probably because it was taken back. The sausage had a nice spice. Overall not a dish I'd order again. - DARK CHOCOLATE CAKE: This dish really surprised us also. We all looked at it when it 1st came out, but didn't really think much of it. It looked like a long thin slice of cake. I'm talking like 8 inches long, but only 1 inch tall, 1/4 inch thick, and laid on it's side. Spaced on top of it was Coffee Cream, Coconut Sorbet, and Crunchy Peanut. It was a master piece when you dug into it. As you went along you got to try all the different flavors paired with the really good chocolate cake. It was a great way to end the meal. Over all 4 out of the 8 items I thought were really good and the scallop I'd try again, so 5 out of 8 isn't bad. One of us was allergic to shellfish and the restaurant substitute for us. They also asked if we want a signed menu by Micheal Mina that was working in the kitchen that night. Once we got to our table all the service was really good, but that 50 min wait is still holding me back from 1 one star. In the Terrace Bar section they also offer a descent Happy Hour menu 7 days a week from 5-8pm with $6 food & drink items on it. We also notice they offer 1/2 price wine bottles on Monday nights.

Attended the Grand Opening last night, and I have to agree with James - fantastic all around! Great vibe, delicious food, awesome music - and who doesn't love to bowl? Check this place out! $10 games, $5 shoe rental - pretty reasonable for such a happening place.

Possibly, the worst location in the entire city to put a bowling alley. Miles from any other business or a subway. The upside is that you might meet an interesting criminal while getting mugged while waiting for a cab in this no man's land. Even the hookers stay away from this area. If you do go, count on overpriced, weak drinks, indifferent service and broken down lanes like in all of their other pretentiously described "bowling lounges". Prediction - this place very quickly draws a very bad element from uptown.
