A pretty big name to live up to, because I'm pretty confident that this bar isn't really "The Greatest," but it wasn't bad. They play really great music here, a cool mix of old school hip-hop and rock and also more contemporary "dance" stuff. I like that there's 4 different floors, so you can easily find a crowd that's to your liking. The ground floor has a really large screen behind that bar that plays music videos (and even the recent "Forever" dancing scene from "The Office"...everyone was excited when that came up haha). The $10 cover sucks, as well as the fact that there's no coat check. Funny story: when I went to go hang up my coat on the insufficient number of hooks, some bitch yelled at me, claiming that that the coat I had in my hand was hers. (I'm sorry, but I believe she's not the only one in Boston with a black pea coat.) It's okay though, because later that night I found her drunkenly laying on the floor..haha KARMA. I will say, try to avoid buying bottled beer (unfortunately, I learned this the hard way). The draft beer on the night we went was 3 bucks while a bottle of Bud Light was $6.50!

This place is kind of small.  I went on a Thursday, and there were quite a few people there.  I saw Brian from the pick up artist there!

Middlesex lounge is just my vibe. They are the kind of place that is not afraid to put a little extra effort into what they do. The drinks are great, and the bartenders take the time to make them properly. Though the actual bar space is small you can usually grab a cocktail waitress. This place has a young modern city vibe, that adapts to the crowd. I went for hearthrob, one of the best decisions ever! Thank goodness some place plays music that is not Top 40 or House. Definately check this place out for nightlife, it will help break that rundown routine that Boston so often has.
