by Kathleen W. on Often times we gripe about the club, when in reality it's often the party promoters that were disorganized. I purchased my Bootie NYE tickets in early December ... I was rewarded with my advance planning with an 70-80 minute wait in line in the cold. I was grateful to get inside before new year's. I printed barcoded tickets ... so they could still manually check off a guest list ... I imagine there's an iphone app that could have done this faster. Oh ... once we got inside, it really wasn't that crowded. The venue itself is less dance club and more concert venue ... I think I prefer the Bootie events @ DNA Lounge ... - cause I do to Bootie for the shaking my bootie. I liked that they had multiple bars - so at least getting watered down drinks to attempt to rekindle my buzz was fast.
by Joy B. on I spent most of the night in the Triumph Room and the music was pretty good. However, this place is PRICEY! On my way in, the guy at the line asked if I were on any guest list and I said, "no." Then he told me (and my 2 girlfriends) that he'd give us discount tickets anyway. Cool. But when I get to where I pay, it was $20 a person! Turns out regular price was $25!! Yikes. That alone wouldn't have been bad, but on top of that drinks were expensive! I had a Jack & Coke and the cup was TINY.... for $10. Come on! And the kicker is... when I entered the Triumph Room, the DJ announced that it was Ladies' Night. Um, really? Then why did I just spend a bunch of money???
