by Carolann Lasseter on The Frying Pan is a boat that was sunk for quite awhile and was dredged up and dried out and now is the most wonderfully unsafe and scenic spot to bob on the Hudson River and knock down a few. It's an especially great place to bring friends from out of town. And go soon, since it's a lawsuit waiting to happen.
by Tina B. on Tao is a party for all your senses. With unique menu offerings to stimulate your palate, to the people watching and innovative decor, we loved every aspect of our Tao experience. Our dinner consisted of a Shrimp and Lobster Spring Roll, Stone Pot Lobster and Shrimp, with the Banana Pudding and Chocolate Cake for dessert, all of which were outstanding. While the bar menu offers some house specialties, the bartenders will gladly make your favorite concoction, just ask. I can't forget the music, tons of energy! We did have to wait 20 minutes past our reservation to be seated, but the extra time flew by while we relaxed at the upstairs bar and did some people watching. As always, Tao will be a "must" for our next visit to NYC!

So, being that my hubby and I rely on fellow rateclubsers to determine our food ventures, we took y'alls advice and sauntered over to the one in Round Rock (original locale was just a little too far that day). We ordered the AYCE and the beef ribs, and everything was really tasty! I highly recommend the Flinstone-size beef ribs that nearly tipped the table over (slight exaggeration but almost to scale). The reason I couldn't give the coveted 5th star was for the dessert. I ordered the peach cobbler. It was hot...and there was peach...that's the best compliment I can give it. I LOVE peach cobbler, the crunchy sweet bits on top of warm goopy peaches...yummm, right? This version was dry like it had been sitting exposed in the oven all day and the topping was the bisquick-pour-on kind. But, hey, if you are someone who likes that kinda thing, give it a go!
