by Libby B. on The atmosphere was cool. Great venue. Hammocks, swinging boats, open sky ceiling. The music wasn't so bad, I'm not the biggest hip hop fan, but as far as hip hop goes, it was good. However, the crowd consisted of sweaty pervs, plastic princesses, and outright douche bags who were all out spending their parent's money and being overly protective of their VIP areas. People were completely rude and not even cute enough to justify it. I'm just glad I had my water gun with me to get back at those smug little beezes.
by Lacie Tamm on Um... no. Rock n Roll? Try rock bottom. My man and I went here on Valentines day, to switch things up and have a change of scenery. We were expecting a funky room with groovy decorations and were sadly mistaken. All that was left was a pricey suite, so we sprung for it. It was a total dump. No style to the room what-so-ever, it was FREEZING cold in the room even though we had the heater blasting for hours, it was kind of dirty and a bit smelly... it was totally lame. Maybe the Phoenix was cool in the 70s, but it doesn't look like much has changed at all since then. Just because rock stars stay there (or used to stay there?) doesn't mean this place is rocking.
