Saturday Night at Hollywood is world in itself. Going down Hollywood Blvd, you can find My Studio by looking for the bright red carpet style lighting outside the club. First three words that come to mind as I entered the club: Upscale, Lounge, Small Very trendy and old-school gold decor is the highlight of this intimate venue. The crowd is great. Fun girls, mixed crowd, and good vibes. The music did not get good till the end (I've noticed this at many clubs) so expect the soundtrack to be lounge-like in the beginning. Slowly but surely, My Studio turns into a low-key rave. Please note This place serves expensive drinks. But hey, it's LA. If you want a $2 beer, there are dive bars all over. So whip out that credit card and have a good time.

i learned of a design related event that was going to be held in the early evening. i was looking forward to seeing the presentations, as well as determining if 330 ritch would find its way into my soma happy hour rotation. pretty decent space. i can see how this would be a good venue for live music. - - the jazz band that was playing that evening could be enjoyed while allowing patrons to have intimate conversations at the same time. the exposed brick walls also added some warmth to the space. so why the one star? CRANBERRY GREY GOOSE = $10. wth, 330 ritches?? perhaps this would fly if i were in an uber fancy schmancy lounge or if my drink favored geese over cranberry, but neither was true. while i wasn't looking to get wasted at an art event, i certainly expected more for a $10 rocks glass. there are plenty of other establishments in soma that have better prices and heavier hands. thank god i didn't come here later in the evening, where i'm certain there'd be a cover.
