This review is for DINNER. I'm probably being incredibly harsh since I had high expectations. I still plan to come again and check out the brunch since that's what the restaurant is known for. However, dinner was a bust. Service was slow. The dishes weren't good or filling, since they were all tapas. For 7 people, we got 7-8 dishes. In total, we spent ~$170, and I still had to go by a taco afterwards since I was only 1/2 full. Fries - spicy, a big soggy - i like them crisp! Beef tartare - warm with no taste Burgers - okay Fish tacos - okay Ricotta gnocchi - cheese gnocchi, heavy and oily Chicken satay - good Calamari - eh Miso glazed sea bass - good Tuna Poke - barely any tuna VERY disappointing.

I sort of have a love hate relationship with this place. During off hours I love it----good food---cheap and affordable prices. But---during busy hours it is a madhouse (a direct correlation to the good food I surmise). But I hate the wait----- Only one other bummer-----bathroom is kind of well---not clean.. Filthy.... PS---add a star if you like velvet surroundings

so i just want to state that the girl who's writing a review about Ella went there and ordered Jagger bombs! cmon now are we in Staten island? Well i went to Ella two Fridays ago with my girlfriend and her friends, and i gotta admit i thought the place was alot of fun actually. it was busy as can be which isn't a bad thing, except it takes a little longer to get your drink that's all. we all then went downstairs because that's where i was told the dance party happens. we get down there and hands are in the air and everyone was dancing up a storm. The DJ was amazing he had us all there till 330 dancing and drinking. so no complaints about Ella from me.
