by Angelica D. on I freakin LOVE nightlife at the academy. Everything you'd ever want in a night out is there--a DJ, good music, food, alcohol and...aquariums filled with tropical fish! I'm quite a fish fan already, so suffice to say that I always get really excited when I talk about nightlife. Admission is only $12, and $8 if you're a member. Food and drink are quite pricey inside, so I would avoid that, but it's not so bad if you go for it. I've never had the chance to go to the Planetarium (you have to get there early), but hope to go soon. And my friends say that the best part of the Academy is the Rainforest, but it's never been open when I was at Nightlife. It's great that they host this every week! Aweeesoooome.
by Miquel Ayling on I spent after hour nights (drunken hours) partying here back in the summer a few times but I wasn't aware of how awesome the space is until I did an event here. Plush booths, fireplaces, with a bar that fills the majority of the room - goodbye waiting forever for a drink. My boyfriend and I had one of the best nights at this club drinking and dancing with literally 5 different hot girls all at once for hours. Which is no surprise because the music is awesome. We heard everything we love ranging from Kid Cudi to Cut Copy. One of the better places in the city, it's no surprise that they are still going strong after all this time.
