by Santo Voltz on I'm a little confused as to why everyone loves this place. I'm giving this place a harsh in retaliation to the hype around this place. First of all, I must say the drinks weren't bad but our server was kind of rude. He was a very get-to-the-point kind of guy. He clearly didn't want us at that table since we weren't going to open up a bar tab. Second of all, how do people under the age of 70 enjoy this place? The piano bar kind of scared me. There was an old man on the piano singing (okay not bad) but this weird woman w/ a monkey doll hanging by his side shaking the monkey doll around. It was odd. We decided to get out of there FAST.
by Lonny Zhanel on I came in from out of town with about 14 friends to celebrate New Years (it's a tradition) and our ATL connection hooked us up with this place. My fiance forgot to print out the confirmation number for the New Years Eve tickets, however, so we couldn't pick up our tickets at will call. Standing outside in the cold watching the better-prepared revelers crowd inside, we could feel the panic starting to rise: where will we celebrate New Years? Should we just go back to the house? Are we going to have to pay $70 to get in instead of $35? Luckily, the staff at CosmoLava was phenomenal. Both the bouncer and the manager were incredibly understanding. The manager volunteered his card in case we get billed twice as a result of all the transactions we had to go through and then bought us both a stiff drink at the bar to make up for all our hassle. We went on to have one of the best New Years ever!
