by april C. on Honestly, I thought it was hilarious. It's right across from my school and I had no idea it was exclusive or racist [apparently?] or snarky or anything before I attended... I was at Lola's, a block away, with some classmates and a couple of their friends from London. Apparently one of the British girls knew the bouncer at Voyeur, so the five of us strolled over. I was in SWEATS and straight-up out of a full work and school day. We got in right away, [it was a Tuesday around 11] and grabbed beer. The crowd is attractive [I guess? They looked normal-Hollywood], but I didn't feel like people were giving me the once over or anything for wearing sweats and a wife beater. Maybe I didn't notice because I was ENAMORED by the fact that everyone was smoking INSIDE. What sucks is that I had quit smoking three weeks before, but I just HAD to smoke inside a bar in Hollywood. Beer was normal expensive, naked chicks were cute... house music was fun... we grabbed a table. After some chillage, we went over to the glass box thing where a naked girl was posing as a librarian and doing weird things with pictures and tape. Then we realized we KNEW that girl. Like, I once group showered with that girl at a Halloween party and she was one of my dear friend's cousin. Then I saw this other chick I knew who is odd and very skinny and I thought, oh my god, this bar is just like high school! And I thought it was lame and like the new, naked tigerheat. So I stuck around for a few more minutes and then peaced out, bought a pack of cigs and went to in-n-out. I think it was a couple days later I found out voyeur was all hot, sexy, exclusive, GOP-lovin and young WB star flaunting. And I thought it was just that lame, silly, bar where you see everyone you awkwardly know and feel like a douchebag again. I had a lot of fun.
by Aron Mccaghren on Woah! This is a night club of the purest form. Beautiful jewelry, beautiful jackets, beautiful people. We saw the Dirt Nasty show there last night, and I could not imagine a more apt venue for such an august posse. The DJ was solid as well.
