My birthday was coming up and a Colony promoter Sean contacted me via facebook and told me I should come to the club to celebrate. He said he would give me a table, bottle, cake, the works as long as I bring 10 "cool" girls (his words). I'm 27 and to be honest I'm totally over the club scene, but I figured he was making it sound so fabulous, why not celebrate with my girls. I triple checked with him that I would be all good with my own table, and he said for sure. I was prepared to buy a bottle or 2 if need be to ensure to have my own spot, but he said we would be fine. He even texted me telling me I better come because he was getting me a cake. Sean told me to contact him as soon as we were outside of the club so he could come let us in. When we got there, one of my girlfriends knew the bouncer, and we walked in past everyone waiting in line right away. When I texted Sean that we were already in the club he wrote back, "You should have waited for me". Why would we wait outside a club when we can walk in no problem? Ego hmmm... Anyway we finally met inside, and he invited us to his table to have drinks. I don't want to sound ungrateful, because I'm not, however the last thing I want to do is hang with a bunch of 21 year old girls, nor do my late 20's girlfriends. We've done that already, and I was told I would have my own table. I ask Sean what the deal was with the table, and he says to me, verbatim, " You told me your friends were hot. 2 of your friends are not hot, I can't give you a table." I was so baffled that I couldn't even respond right away. What made me so upset was that my "not hot" friends he was referring to were 2 of my closest girlfriends from out of town who drove 3 hours to be a part of my birthday celebration. They wore their hottest " Hollywood" outfit to try to fit in, and this promoter has the nerve to flat out say they aren't hot and because of this we can't have a table. And for the record, my group of girls were gorgeous and I have no clue what the hell "hot enough" is to him. Sean then proceeds to tell me that one of the girls at his table, is an actress on some tv show, and we can all hang together. So basically we should feel privileged to be there. I have so many friends in the industry, and should've not even taken a chance with this, but I did and learned a lesson. I never want to party or be anywhere where the promoters, or people who work at a club are so cruel. My girlfriends he said "weren't hot" still have no idea he said that, and would be so hurt if they did know. I will never go back to Colony, will never do business with Sean, and will continue to spread the word about my terrible, extremely shallow experience.

Lime rocks. Bottomless Mimosa's for Brunch are where it's at! Pomegranate ones too! I could not have found a better spot to spend New Year's Day this year. Great friends a many were gathered here by 1pm. Go team! =) My food was yummy, I loved the potatoes. The servers are sweet, the beats are good... It's just a fun spot to bob your head in. One of my new favorite spots to get Brunch in SF!
