by Thanh N. on Hold up, wait a minute. Let me put some kush up in it. Nicely kushed, I mosey down the stairs to what was a below average experience. I won't even mention what happened at the entrance because if you let douche bags affect your experience at these types of venues then you might as well stay home. The drink prices are on par with all the other lounges I've been to in the LA/Hollyweird scene. $12 for a gin and tonic is neither bad nor good. I tried the $18 bottle of absinthe and it definitely is not worth another try. I had the fiery absinthe shots in the Philippines and they were much better. They gotta mix the absinthe with something tastier. Although novel, I don't think any of 6 people I was with actually liked the drink. The occasional burlesque dance show were pretty cool. The ladies look great and do a great job titillating the crowd. The old school black and white movies on the walls however did not impress so whether you're into it or you're not the intention is to add to the experience. The music was also not good. There wasn't a song that played that made me move. The style cannot be defined. People were dancing ballroom to some of it though it wasn't ballroom music. Sheesh. If you're into a year-round Halloween party then you should try Edison. It's just not everything I thought it would be...
