Excellent... clean, crisp, "Panera Bread-like interior" (not sure if thats good for a bakery or if it makes us want to go to a less-corporate seeming place). The breads and pastries sitting out look and taste fabulous but what really wowed me was there large and scrumptious looking cakes, pastries, tarts, etc in the cake cooler thingy ( whatever that thing is called).  They had regular tiramisu and green tea tiramisu as well as green tea versions of mouse and cake.  They also have smoothies, coffees, and teas.  All the quick-to-carry breads that i got were good, but the rice balls with red bean filling were the best.  I could have done with out these little sweet potato cakes.. they tasted a bit boring.  I would love to go back and try everything.  One thing that is a must try is a roll with sweet cream- it taste like a perfectly baked roll with homeade whipped butter on the inside.

i wound up here last tuesday, for the brilliant combination of my friends 21st birthday, and the bars 30th birthday! there was a burlesque show, a plethora of live bands (my favorite was mighty slim pickins) and cheap drinks. the atmosphere was amazing, the people were friendly, and i've never seen such a diverse crowd! i will definitely be back, especially since i won some sort of contest and am "on the list" for the next year: no cover, no lines. WHEEEEE!

I don't have much use for a wine bar as none of my friends really want to go out to a wine bar. But if we were to go to a wine bar, Vinotecca is where we'd go without hesitation. It is in a prime location in downtown Royal Oak. They have a vast variety of good wines to choose from, as well as options for how you may want it served to you. Inside, the atmosphere is intimate and interesting. And if you are looking for something to eat, they do offer (good) food as well.
