by Lino Fluitt on I've only been to Phoenix Landing on the weekends, usually before 9 in the morning. It is the prime place to catch English Premier League football and European football in general. You will be amazed how quickly a bunch of English people can get drunk at 7 in the morning. Guiness and blood sausage for breakfast. Sweet. One time we went to catch a Liverpool game at 8 in the morning and were directed up these rickety old stairs. There was a gigantic TV and a bunch of chairs in a dimly lit room that looked more like a place where animal sacrifice and devil worship would happen rather than cheering for football. Super scary. But, the Liverpool crew made it bearable by singing various drinking songs and the Liverpool anthem. Good times. Oh, and if you are Liverpool fan, the Phoenix is home of the Boston Liverpool Fan Club. They have their own tee shirts and everything.
