by Emily S. on Vegetarians be warned: unlike what is advertised on their website, the Moshulu does not make most entrees vegetarian. I had read the website before going that most entrees can be substituted to make the dish vegetarian and when I asked the server how the substitutions worked he said that they can take one of the vegetarian appetizers or sides and make it the portion of a full meal. I was expecting one of the delicious duck or chicken dishes substituted with tofu or seitan, instead I got a bowl of vegetables... With how high the prices are and with how popular the restaurant is my expectations were high and their misleading information on their website about dietary needs was a bit of disappointment. On a positive note, the pumpkin cheesecake was delicious, the wine selection was excellent, and i enjoyed the atmosphere.
by Serita Schlegel on Went there last saturday for my sister's bachelorette party- we got a table and paid our $600 and were basically treated like crap! Our waitress was extremely rude and bitchy. My sister was stabbed in the foot by a pin from one of there cushions and was bleeding- no one offered to do anything for her- the waitress wouldn't get me a manager, the girl who took my reservations was equally rude, and security was rude too- they just bought her a band-aid and were like "so you want us to call an amubulance or something." It was just an awful experience and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Oh and they were also smoking pot and cigarettes in the club, forcing some of the party to leave early. I hope NYC health dept reads this and fines them for that one.
