Fellow rateclubser Erin F. and I were so starving when we got here that having to wait 30 minutes was almost torture. For as much as I complained about waiting (I was just feeling ornery), they have a nice waiting area with these strange plastic chairs and the 2 person tables did move along pretty quickly. We both ordered frittatas - I enjoyed my mushroom frittata and the bites with gorgonzola were most amazing. I can take or leave home fries, especially when they are just chunks of potato that can only be salvaged by lots and lots ketchup. The toast was tasty and I appreciated that it was not pre-buttered. Something about the atmosphere was vaguely cafeteria-like. It was seriously bustling even at near 2pm on a Sunday. Everyone around us was ordering french toast so that is definitely on order for next time. It looked pretty decadent.

Can't think of something fun to do on any given weeknight/weekend? Do you like getting free tickets to comedy shows in your email? (Very nice indeed) Do you like strong alcoholic beverages, as well as delicious snack foods? Then the Improv (Hollywood) is for you. (The Laugh Factory just sucks compared to the Improv. ) The comedy rotates pretty much every day. So, if you see a bad show here, don't get discouraged. Just come back another day and you'll have better luck. I once saw Drew Carey's / whose line is it anyway crew (Drew Carey himself rarely shows up) and they were hilarious. Usually the headliner is very good, while the acts leading up to the headliner are hit-or-miss. Careful... if you sit in the front, you very well might get called out!! Street parking is usually available if you come early and look hard. But there is valet service which is not too expensive, but it might take forever for them to get your car (unless you are driving a fancy looking car that the valet guys like to park in the front). There is a 2-item minimum. The cheapest thing you can get is a bottle of water ($3) x 2 = $6. But I'm no cheapskate, and I usually get a couple of stiff drinks as well as a calamari or nachos.
