by Creola Mccambridge on Kress is the kind of nightclub you expect in a major city like LA and you won't be disappointed. I ate there once and the food was OK. The black and red interior on the first level made me feel like I was in some place that vampires fatten up their victims before eating them. However, I don't think you go here to eat -- you go here to hang out and get drunk. They do have great drinks and if you get their early and can get to the rooftop level (one of 5 levels to the club), you may want to plant yourself at a couch and enjoy the view and people watch. The cocktail waitresses and bartenders are very friendly. The martini's were a little on the small side but got the job done. The only turnoff were what seemed like a high number of bouncers/guards. But given some of what I saw late at night (cat fights, shoving matches) they were needed and It looks like if you misbehave, you will be escorted out quickly. I was pleasantly surprised at how efficient the valet is -- both coming and going.
by Brie V. on Popped in last night for a bite after work with a friend, had no idea what i was in store for. Beautifully decorated space, lovely talkative staff, opened window to SPOTLESS kitchen, wonderful wine, and best of all delicious crab wantons. They were perfectly fried high quality crab meat and plated beautifully! Will be back to try everything on the menu and check out upstairs!
