First thing I'll say is I'm not from Los Angeles or California at all, so the way they operate their clubs is much different than what I'm used too. Unless you have bottle service, are famous, know someone connected to the club, or come with at least 2 or 3 girls you will have a hard time getting in.  It's not just Guys & Dolls but pretty much all the lounges or clubs in the area. I was actually by myself the night I went to Guys & Dolls.  I really wanted to check it out.  When I arrived I found street parking and had to walk about 2 blocks.  There were some very sexy ladies in line so that was a good start.  In fact, there was 2 hot ladies in front of me that the guy at the entrance asked how many in the group.  I'm behind them motioning all 3 of us together, while they were saying just 2.  I softly told one of the girls say I'm with y'all.  I was able to get in because they thought I was with the 2 ladies.  I bought them drinks for being nice & sexy. The place looks exactly like the picture that is used for this review.  You come in and to your right there is room for dancing in front of some big ass speakers, but it's not too bad.  Then there is a couple couches & chairs in the middle with booths along the sides. The music is mix on Saturday's of like top 40's hits.  It's some good & some okay music, but you can still have a good time.  I was told Sunday is the night more for hip hop, so that night may have been better for me. The few draw backs are there is only one bar and a lot of people stand in front of it because there is not much room to hang out unless you have a booth or one of the 2 middle areas.  This can be difficult if you do not like to mingle a lot. On the bright side there are a lot of beautiful women there.  There are all races and types mostly.  People do dance in the little area where you can and most everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.  I had some good conversations and really enjoyed myself.  I would definitely go back again. I do not recommend going onto the outside patio unless you smoke .  You will have the worst second hand smoke ever.

I have been here one time and that's enough for me.  This place reminds me of Suite 181 in SF.. wack. Some black beezies tried to snag my wallet to and they were bumping into hella people probably trying to jack their sheet too.  Actually.. my friend lost her phone that night and they bumped into her a couple times.. damn just thought about that right now. The place itself is really nice though.. so it gets 2 stars.

Baby & I hit up tangerine last night, we arrived late and settled into the gorgeous (and large!) dining room. The bar was packed, dark, and sexy. The dining room is very luxuriously decorated. We were quite ready for a fantastic experience. I started with a tangerine martini and he a mint tea martini - both scrumptious although a bit sweet for our tastes in martinis. We asked the server for assistance with wines, as we wanted to try something spanish and were unfamiliar with the list. We like big, full bodied, jammy and spicy wines - he recommended a $120 bottle! Quite on the high end of the spectrum. I was suprised, as most servers recommend something in the moderate price range of the menu, or provide a range of recommendations. We settled on something in the $70 range but sacrificed some spicyness. For apps we shared the vegetarian meze and he had the sashimi. This was the best part of the whole meal. My major complaint - is that for a restaurant that is advertised as mediterranean, they had absolutely NO vegetarian options on the menu as printed. The server modified the meze to remove the cut meats and prepared a surprise veggie plate for my dinner. I can't complain too much about the veggie plate, because I never specified that I'd rather NOT have a plate of fried foods - but was so suprised and disappointed that a veggie plate served in a mediterranean restaurant would consist of ONLY fried foods! Bleck. I ate half the fried polenta, but left with nothing but an old grease taste in my mouth. Ick. I wouldn't go back and I certainly wouldn't pay those prices for such an extremely disappointing meal despite the gorgeous and sexy interior. I might visit the bar for pre- or post-dinner drinks though.
