What a remarkable space this is. The artwork is most certainly unique, if not peculiar, but it grabs you and is unforgettable. The two rooms layout offers ample space to host parties, affairs, events. During the day natural light steams into the gallery area and make a wonderful spot to mix and mingle with friends or colleagues. I held a private function at Project One just over a week ago and, to this day, I still smile over the wonderful service we received. The ladies who tended bar were not only helpful, but friendly and attentive. They helped with everything from decorating to moving furniture to tackling leftover food. Project One agreed to host the event on a day they are usually closed, which was extraordinarily helpful. They made sure to accommodate me anyway they could, hooking me up w/ a representative to speak with month prior to the event. I first worried the bar offerings would be limited, but it turned out the beers on tap, the soju cocktails and the wines offered were PERFECT for guests. They even had my favorite local sake chilled and ready for purchase. I've never visited Project One during their regular club/DJ nights, but if anyone were to ask a spot to host an event: a party, a wedding, a wake (it's been done there), a charity event, a shower, etc. I would refer them to Project One in a heartbeat.

Very disappointed. Had a guest in from Europe and had raved about the previous dinner a few months prior. Apparently Chef Shotaro was on vacation, which we found out when we asked for Omakase. Then we were told to order off the menu. In addition the waiter told us that there had been changes and the Kobe beef was now a lower quality, two rather than a four? This was noticeable and everything all the way down to the miso soup was ill-prepared. It was uninspired and as if whomever was in charge in the kitchen that night was just going through the motions. The waiter came across as patronizing and a bit spacey. Will not recommend this to anyone. Went to Oturo after, which was better.
