by Alla Ruckman on This place is best done during the week, like most places in Manhattan. I like the small size, it feels exclusive but not cramped like some small places can. I'm not into the megaclubs like Mansion or Pacha. I much prefer chilling with my friends at a table and dancing on couches. Vodka and champagne were free flowing, music was great and the crowd stayed late (even for a Monday). That's how I measure a good club.... Like most of my reviews, I can't comment on prices or service really, because I only go here with promoters... And on that note, I have to say something looking at some of these reviews... If you are girl who is well-dressed and attractive, I hope you realize you never ever EVER have to pay to get in a club or pay for drinks! And you don't need to flirt with some sleezy guy or be super connected either. You could honestly just head to a club district around 12-12:30am and look for a big group of people (most will be young girls) and speak with the promoter. Once you know one well-connected promoter, you will know everyone in the small club world. It is their job to bring in a beautiful, fun crowd of people, so you are actually doing them a favor! I know it sounds crazy, and I even couldn't believe it at first! But seriously, stop this paying for drinks nonsense ladies...
by Shannon Kalkbrenner on Well, I haven't dined here, I've only been here after dining has been slowly cleaned up and then out to relax with friends at the bar. They had a vodka night where any vodka drink was being subsidized by some vodka maker, so we had a few of those, most of them quite weak. At least they also served shots. Upstairs, the DJ sat playing his music which wasn't particularly loud, and below, the crowd was... quiet. There wasn't much happening at 11p, of course, so we ended up going to another location (Maritime) that was much busier and far more interesting. Much of the diners were still dining at 10p to 11p. Decor is pleasant, most of it as a red-brown motif (as per the name) but the bar didn't really seem to be inspired by the same designer, it felt almost out of place. The walls, too, odd, like big blown-out versions of a sofa's back of the seating.
by Kyliie T. on Cute place, we heard politicians hang out....Anyway not why we went here. I thought the crowd was kinda just ok...but the wine was good!
