Temple is a lavish night club with 3 dance floors, 5 bars, and hot dogs! First things first! If you love house music, break beats, dub step, drum and bass, and all around top notch Electronica slap, then Temple is guaranteed to satisfy the inner raver and move soul! The light show that usually accompany these sound system bangers are awesome enough to appreciate alone. And the Go-Go Dancers complete the ambiance.  If not, then why the hell are you up here on the top floor? Get your ass down to the basement where some of the best hip-hop DJ I've ever heard are spinning the top 50 mixes, 80's, 90's, and whatever else makes you drop it like its the opposite of cold! Not into the super crowded dance scene but still love to groove, head over to the glacial chamber room (at least that what I call it, because its all white with blue lights everywhere) where you can lounge and drink that fuzzy nipple, you sexy thing you. The bar tenders are like the Neo's of the cocktail world, totally in control of their matrix. Especially the ones producing in the main room! I've never had to wait longer than a few minutes for a drink, no matter how busy the club is that night. So, if you frequent the club scene like I do, you know a popular club translates into a packed club. Where navigating from one end to the other requires the art of snaking through tipsy, buzz'n, and flat out drunk club goers, who can at any moment; 1) Knock your drink. 2) Spill a drink on you. 3) Step and or fall on you. 4) Puke on you! (Trust me, it happens) Unless you've mastered this art as I have (Think Beck and ambulance drivers) then an overly packed joint does not equate to a clubtastic evening! At Temple, the enormity of venue almost makes it impossible to run into a blockade of dancing masses. Although the hip-hop room does get extremely packed on most nights, there are at least 2 in and outlets to every room, making the flow of traffic not that of bay bridge toll plaza during peak commuting hours. In other words SMOOOTH! By now you're probably saying, "OK, OK. You had me at 3 dance floors and 5 bars. So what about the hot dogs?" Well, I'll tell you about the hot dog. You heard me right, they serve free hot dogs for you club heads that forgot to eat earlier in the evening. Probably because you slacked off and didn't iron your shirt till the last minute, had to fix your hair to perfection, or took over an hour to shiz, shower, and shave, then realized you would miss the guest list cut off entry time if you didn't leave that moment! I think they've provided this because there are no in and outs to the club! If you don't like free hot dogs, then EAT DINNER you ungrateful procrastinator! You'll find the dogs near the back door on the top floor leading out to the smokers cage, also the hot dogs are over there as well! (HA!) Some deets- $20 gets you in, that is if you're not on the guest list (again with the whole procrastinating thing. Whats wrong with you?) 3 bucks for 'A' coat check (no you cannot put five coats together on one hanger and pay 3 dollars, GOSH!). I would suggest parking half a block away at the 1st and Howard st. lot,. and leave your jacket in the car. Standard VIP and bottling service prices. The Bouncers are really chill, but have absolutely zero tolerance for fighting, belligerence, and incoherent behavior. So if you cannot handle your drank, prepare to be escorted out, or thrown out, its up to you. Did I mention they are open until 3am? No? Well it looks like the party's going late tonight now don't it?!

Why have I never rateclubsed this before???  Carman makes her (always good-looking) servers ask every guests name.  With just a few tables, it's probably easier to remember than at other gigs.  But they make sure to chat with you, use your name, refill your coffee.  Carman dreams up a new menu every day, and it's often based on her whims.  It may not work every time (for me), but it's always fresh and prepared with care.  Don't even ask to substitute any items.  Trust in Carman, and they'll take care of you.  Sit at the table by the kitchen, and maybe she'll even chat with you. The recommendation to call ahead is important.  Call ahead, and Carman will remember you!  And it's true about the truck.  It has red and orange flames and a picnic table for four in the truckbed.  With an umbrella.  (Obviously not in winter.) A great experience for out-of-town guests, too!
