by Joaquin Kruml on Bob's was one of the first bars that I would "frequent" as a young shark in the water. The place was always packed and on weekends the cover was usually $5. I never had a thing to complain about here. The talent showed mad love and the ease of transactions helped transform me to the hedge fund manager I am today. But nowadays, that crowded, hot atmosphere has run its course. I would probably go again during the week just to cool out, but on the weekends I'll do something else. The drink prices are reasonable for LES and NYC in general. I wouldn't talk you out of going here if you're between the ages of 21 thru 26. You'll definitely have a lot of fun. But once your swag reaches top level, the meatpacking district awaits you. Stankonia...
by Adam J. on So I know I'm just getting back to Atlanta after being away for two years finishing my masters degree, but uh when did Shout become a club? Let's start from the beginning. My party sat down, I was about 15 minutes late. My party has just placed their order as I was walking in. 30 minutes passed, the waitress never appeared. I was unable to order until everyone else's food arrived. I ordered sushin and a mixed drink. The sushi arrived after everyone was done eating but there must have been a lack of communication because a different person delivered the sushi and gave it to the wrong person at that. 20 minutes after that, my drink finally arrived, delivered by a different person. After I finished, the initial server came back. Not sure where she had been for an hour. We were with a birthday party so we had a cake. We were shocked to find out after our checks came that a fee was added to every seat for cutting the cake. In a party of 20 or more, by the time you've paid a cake fee for every seat, you've probably exceeded the cost of the cake itself. In addition to the cake fee, 20% gratuity is standard for parties of 6 or more which I could understand if the server actually did something. Many people in our party had to go to the bar to get their own drinks because we couldnt find the server. She even had the audacity to tell us that she had too many tables as if that would make us forgive the terrible service. Oh but it gets worse. Shout has an upstairs level with outside terrace, bar, and music. We wanted to go upstairs but after we paid we were told we had to leave, go outside, stand in the long line, and pay a cover, to get back into the same venue we were already in. Sorry, just not going to happen with me. Shout can kick rocks. I seldom write unfavorable reviews, but this place has gone down hill. Mediocre on its best days.
by Les Huxhold on This place is so not worth paying $20 to get in. It's in a wierd area and once you get in, the drinks are really expensive. When I went there some local artist was on stage...not that good. Anyway, their website completely fakes you out. It looks nice in there but really its not.
