by Scott S. on This quaint little spot located in the heart of Crescent St in Midtown across from Opera is an ideal choice if you are looking to either pre-game or spend an evening there. Once you enter through the steps towards the door, you're greeted with a contemporary dark atmosphere with a dance floor toward your left and log bar to the right. The music is mostly urban and hip-hop. The bar is sufficient even on busy nights to accommodate large crowds. However the dance floor and common areas can be a little crowded on some busy nights. The VIP area is closed off to the rest of the club with large glass. I felt rather separated from the club and didn't care about the feeling of disconnect. There is also an outdoor patio section which gives you a break from the music, darkness and smoke. There are chairs and tables outdoors to sit plus a bar as well. It was more of my favorite spots of the club. I give it a 3 stars due to the VIP section not being very well designed and the smaller common areas where it can get crowded. But that is just me being picky:-)
by Stormy Zuehl on If only the TRUE experience of this lounge equalled the hype boasted on their website, I would've liked it more... but such is life. The food that I tasted was kewl. Not great, but ok... The "ambiance" was just too much for me. I hate when restaurants "try" to be trendy... and fall short... There was something about all of the lighting/ fishtank/ moving images on the walls/LOUD music, and did I say TERRIBLE color choices for lighting??? it overwhelmed my senses and I felt anything BUT Luckie... HOWEVER, the event that I attended was actually very well presented, so all of the hoopla of the "lounge" eventually lessened... or perhaps my sensors just blocked out everything.... This isn't a place that I would list in my Top 10, but it's not the worse by any stretch... and the restrooms were well-designed and clean at a level of 8 on a scale from 1-10... oh, I didn't have a cocktail, but my friends said that the LIT was a hit...
