by Enriqueta Radtke on Keep this in mind: I went here on a Saturday afternoon when it isn't nearly as crowded and had purchased a LivingSocial deal that gave me 3 free games of bowling and free shoe rental. Based on some reviews I was expecting to at least wait for a little bit to get a lane for my girlfriend and I. Surprisingly, from the minute we stepped it through the manually operated elevator to the front desk we were at a lane and bowling within about 5 minutes. It was pretty smooth sailing from there. We had zero problems and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The only qualms I had was that drinks are quite expensive and I do think the whole neon/Lucky Strike wannabe vibe is kind of annoying. With that said, I can totally see how this place would suck on a weekend night. I've never understood the whole "let's go hang out at a bowling alley, but not actually bowl" crowd. They should probably accept the fact that they are a bowling alley and not a MP club. Also, look for deals online because $13 a game is never worth the price.
by Patrick O. on My review of this place can really go either way. I only went here for drinks on a Saturday night with a friend so I can't say anything about the food, but, after seeing this place first hand, I'd be skeptical to try it. So I walk up and the place is looking real Miami, Old "look at me, look at me" Ferrari's out front, the typical escalade on 22's and a red velvet rope and carpet out front with a doorman in a black suit with a clipboard. It's 10pm and still 104 degrees so wait, I am at Citynorth in the subrubs of Phoenix here, right? Well, needless to say the doorman didn't give me too hard of a time getting in as a solo guy (but he sure did TRY at first until I called him out that nobody was in line and the place was near empty). Blah, anyway I played they're stupid game of "exclusivity" and was let in shortly thereafter. What I was greeted with though, was quite humorous. Picture a nightclub, bumping Nelly, filled with nothing but 40 somethings sipping 14 dollar drinks. Now, I'm no expert when it comes to clientele but even I know that this just looked out of place, it's quite strange and damn near VERY uncomfortable to have women your Mothers age pinching your butt while your're trying to order a drink. I can't hate totally though because being a younger guy it can be a really good networking place so, I'll go back....sigh...... but not for a LOONGG time.
by Sophie Casoria on This is one of my all time favorite places to go in hollywood. Why?? 1) Free before 10pm and only $10 cover if you're late 2) No line to get in 3) Pool tables, shuffle board, and basketball 4) Dancing 5) Fun bartenders who pour strong drinks 6) No problem with the guy outnumbering the girls ratio 7) Space to sit when your heels are killing your feet 8) Street parking on La Brea hrm.. need I say more?
