by Scott M. on So decided I'd take the patio at Front Page News. Once again, I have heard it brought up in convo on a number of occasions as a cool spot to watch the game. I guess? As I sat down I was greeted by one of the biggest flies i have seen in a minute in the chair next to me. However, this fly must a been missing a leg, or he was just old...because he could'nt really move....I have never looked so quick and artful swatting and killing a fly.....but that day, I must say I was...... I digress.....the service? Cool, the server was cool...perhaps a little dizzy, but, well, nevermind...anyways, started with the Lemon Pepper Chicken fingers, bar food at its most mediocre, couldnt really taste any lemon pepper, but the chicken fingers were pretty thick and made of what appeared to be pretty good breast meat. After that came the chicken nachos, once again, cool, but probably coulda put something together at the house that was a little better than this. The Gumbo---I am not a gumbo person, but the gumbo that i have had before was definitely better than this..it has a combination of seafood in it, Ill let you folks from New Orleans be the judge, but I am not giving any refunds...so heed that as warning.. Next came the entree, which was grilled salmon, its topped with a honey bbq sauce and comes with mixed veggies. Sigh....check please. This place is supposed to be a american/creole place....I guess I just missed the creole influence, or perhaps it missed me... I am stretching to give this place more than 1 star....
