by Dell Bielinski on Like: - Spacious - Table games (e.g., pool) - Diverse crowd (people of many races and ethnicity) - Live music - "Balcony" (not outdoors, but indoors by the stage) for reservation and private parties. - Drinks less costly than other places in downtown and k-town. - Hot dog vendor right outside - Burger King about 2 blocks east - Parking (Park at the Bank of America just down the street...it's safer and free). Dislike: - Line at bathrooms (us dudes are NOT use to waiting in line to use the bathroom...we're not use to "holding it") Note: GREAT place for large groups (10 or more people). NOT A GREAT place for dates. NICE place for couples to dance or grab a drink.
by V G. on I normally go to SCK for brunch which I highly recommend. But I went for dinner for the first time in a long time, and I have to say I didn't love it this time. I've only ordered the fried chicken and this time I was not all that impressed. I don't know for sure, but I think something with the recipe is different. This was almost my first time sitting upstairs (in a corner I might add) and the noise level was extremely high. Lastly, my waitress was nice, but a little eccentric. I could have done without some of her humor. Overall, I probably won't be running back for dinner, but SCK is still one of my favorite places for brunch.
by Ehtel Dearing on holy moly.. this place is awesome. i actually found it on rateclubs. I had a friend visiting from out of town, and I wanted to take him to brunch before saying sayonara. rateclubs people have not let me down. We loved everything about it. First of all, it's in this completely random location, not really near any other restaurants or stores. But, when you walk in, the industrial urban art deco sets the tone. This is some place different. Definitely wouldn't expect to find it in this area. The two of us ordered three dishes... simply because there were too many mouthwatering scrumptious options on the menu to choose from. We got the Cannoli French Toast, the smoked salmon bagel, and prosciutto panino. Yummm. I am definitely coming back and bringing more people. Considering the unique blend of ingredients in their dishes, this spot has very very decent prices.
