I've seen Johnny Brenda's go from a semi-hole in the wall, to a bustling concert venue/restaurant. It was the first place, for me, that made Fishtown a cool place to come to. There's always a fascinating crowd, and I'm happy they included outdoor seating when weather permits. I have yet to see a concert but I've heard great things about the set up. They really stepped it up a notch with the menu being above your normal bar food fare. I have yet to try a dish I didn't enjoy.

I've been to Gloria's in Dallas and when my friends suggested it for dinner on Friday night I said "of course". The hostesses were really fun and friendly. They told us we had a 30 minute wait and we settled in with my friends purse-top (think laptop that fits in your purse) while one person went to get some drinks at the bar. To our surprise... our buzzer went off after only about 15 minutes! Perfect! The restaurant decor is very chic and dark. Great for romantic dates. We had a table near one of the walls and they have these awesome, super cozy purple cushions on the banquet. Our waiter was Alejandro and he was very nice. We did our best not to burst into Lady Gaga's song whenever he was there but the moment he left... all bets were off. The restaurant was packed. It's a lot larger than the Dallas restaurant and has a great water feature in the bar that I had a view of. The black bean dip is some of the best I've had and the salsa is good as well. I had the steak fajitas, one friend had the shrimp fajitas and the other had the surf and turf which had some Spanish name like Mar y terra (or something like that). You really can't go wrong with fajitas and these were great! I live South so I'm not really up North all that often but if I am, I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Good pool tables, and friendly bartenders. Prices for both alcohol and pool are very reasonable, especially for Pioneer Square. The big thing they have going for them though are the people that frequent the place. Vary rarely do you have the "douche-bag" crew in there. People who are out often in Seattle, know exactly the kind of people I'm taking about. Happy Hour is good, and they have an industry night, so if you are in the area, stop by and have a cocktail or two and hit some balls...
