by Jessica S. on BEST BRUNCH PLACE EVER! I had one of the best brunches in my life at Lime and wish that I can give it more than 5 stars! We had a party of 8 so it was a bit tough getting a table. I got their at 11 but they don't seat you until everyone was there, and after everyone got there we had to wait maybe another 30-45 mins to be seated. The place was POPPIN' at 11am and luckily we were all able to start on our bottomless mimosas (for $7!!!) while we were waiting in the lounge area. The DJ played REALLY good music, better music than they play at most clubs! The atmosphere was so fun! Everyone was drinking, talking, dancing, and just having a good damn time. We were seated in a booth very close to the DJ and a perfect view of the bar area where people were really gettin' down. And who knew, the food was amazing too! Their biscuits were warm and fluffy and sooooo delicious. I ordered the Frittata which was so yummy! Cooked perfectly, cheese melted, and it came with their house potatoes which were probably some of the best potatoes I've eaten. Our waitress kept the mimosas flowing and was SUPER patient with us (we all had more than a few of those mimosas lol) and didn't rush us when we decided to sit and enjoy our drinks even after we were done eating. All in all, the atmosphere was really fun, the food was great, the people were fantastic, and the mimosas were delicious! I will absolutely be coming back to Lime!
by Loree Rider on The Green Door does not look like much from the outside. In fact, upon arrival, I did not even notice a sign for "The Green Door" from the outside. But I knew it was right next to the Cabana club, so I found this place on foot. However, upon entrance, the interior is quite gorgeous. What a breathtaking ambiance! Velvet ropes, dark rustic interior, many posh plush red velvet seating. In the front by the entrance is a fireplace crackling with open flames. Quite lovely. It is a very beautiful lounge, with plenty of seating, but there's also a dance floor for people to dance and groove with the music. Definitely lots of fun, and the patrons of this place tend to be quite good-looking. Lots of beautiful blonde women, and good-looking guys. My only gripe was the music/dj for the Saturday night I went kind of sucked. Sucked as in, they repeated songs... an hour from initial play. That is a BIG no-no in my book. But, I was buzzed enough not to care at the time. The 4 stars is for the decor and ambiance. Like I said, it's quite gorgeous, chic, and fancy. It's rather low-key, not too many people... but the ones that are there are good to look at.

I hate that in the NY nightlife scene you push your way into 'exclusive nightclubs', just to be squeezed in like saradines with nothing to do but drink. Boring.. The box changed that all for me - an old vaudeville theater with a charming decor made you feel apart of something a bit deeper than the usual nightclub flash and glitz, and twice a night popcorn was handed around for the two shows of the evening. Originally the shows were entertaining and risque.. but eventually the clothes came off more quickly and it went from tantalizing to just plain nudity. Some of that soul was lost.. and I've had the opportunity to speak to many of the performers who were sometimes fired if they did not want to do their show naked. Unfortunately the box lost that panache, but when it had it, it was really something.
