by Kourtney Washell on Bowlmor is racist :IF your black you might not be able to get in. - - Today days after a huge snow storm we decided to go go bowling to celebrate an engagement. Snow was all over and my husband who ONLY wears his construction boots in inclement weather wore his boots that day.... we get to the door( white women& black man, black women& black man w/ boots) and the "bouncer says sorry no Timberland boots. We were thrown a little because we explained that we were going to change into bowling shoes to bowl and we were not aware of the no Timberlands rule. We immediately wanted to talk to the manager because we were standing the "bouncer" let white men and women in that were wearing all kinds of boots, sneakers and timberlands. The women who happen to be white in our group spoke to the manger and he said no problem and he went with us by his self to get the rest of our group timberlands and all. We get into the bowling alley and the manger comes up and confronts the men in our group with a different and bigger body guard on his back and says in a very bad tone " We know.... that you don't want any trouble and for your information girls are aloud to wear timberlands here" referring to the fact that we saw girls and guys come in with boots but they happen to be white. I think that they pick any reason to screen the BLACK PEOPLE that they don't want in there unless they are celebrities I guess. If you think this story is far fetched just google Racist bowlmor and there will be many stories: boots, baggy jeans and other bogus screening methods. DO NOT GO TO BOWLMOR!!!!!!
