I had been to the Starlight Room once on a visit to San Francisco, but hadn't been back since moving here. I came here for some after-work drinks and appetizers on a Friday night, rolling in around 6:30 before the place started getting really busy. The host gave us a great table looking out to the western parts of the city; at 20 or 30 floors above the city streets, there really aren't any bad seats in this place, but this one was particularly nice. We ordered some speciality cocktails. My wife got the "Old Havana," the Starlight Room's take on a Mojito. I enjoyed a Partida Margarita with plenty of salt. We also ordered the "Mezze" plate, which included a very tasty hummus along with pita bread, olives, radishes, and tomatoes. The staff was particularly courteous and we were not disappointed with our drinks and food. Overall, 4 stars for this downtown establishment!

Holy shnikey's this place is a diamond in the rough. I should probably not review this place so I can keep the crowds away. But being the good Ratecluber I am, here it is. I believe happy hour lasted from 5-9!!! A pint or well drink is only $3. But that is not the best part. They have a raw oyster bar that or group strategically sat next that cost free.99. On top of that I think they usually BBQ oysters in their huge backyard patio. However, that night they had BBQ chicken, chips, and salad which again cost me free.99. So when I do the math, my dinner for the night cost me free dollars (excluding tip). Remember to tip Rateclubers. That is not all. They also had a burlesque show. We did not attend the show because we were enjoying the free food. There are also heat lamps outside which makes the outdoor patio and all season area to hang out.

Really great martinis and my favorite chicken sandwich around. Only problem is the place gets old after you've been there a few times. But it's always fun for late night.
