Checked this place out with a few friends while we were visiting hollywood. 1) Friday nights is Asian Night.. I'm not sure what promoter group sponsors it... however,if you're on any type of list.. it really means nothing unless you leave right after work and wait in line at 7 PM.... all I have to say is that the promoters don't have any clout or real control over the nightclub. Yes, the building is at capacity but it seems that this is the night club where cover charges increase and where they want to get a few quick bucks off of you. 1) It should be around a $20 cover charge which is standard for most places; however, they charge $30 if its at capacity... which is stupid in my opinion. Promoters are either passive or plain scared of management to speak up and it seems like its run by a bunch of 20 year olds. 2) Clientele was decent... however, its more of 'international asian invasion'. Expect to hear many different languages in the club. Guy to girl ratio on this night we went was decent. pretty even, although a bit more guys. 3) Jaeger bombs - $12, beers $ 7 to $8, long island ice teas $14. standard. 4) Music - ok. 5) Worth it? heck no. come to chicago and we'll show you what being on a list really means... 6) If you're from anywhere such as the midwest or east coast, note that the west coast parties super early.. and ends really early as well... 9 PM till 2 AM... where in other places.. u wouldnt even leave to go out until midnight or 1 AM.. thats the one thing I don't like about California night life.

this place is light years away from the old cafe. It's nice, colorful, and clean now. It's good to go out to happy hour with friends. GoGo boys are a little awkwardly placed on the little platform, but more dignified than holding one hand up on the ceiling at the old Cafe.
