**This review is only for the rooftop terrace, not the restaurant or club** We went to Medjool for girls night out. The vibe was good- low key but fun. We got their early and so finding a table was no problem. The drink list was fun and we enjoyed some variety from the 'normal' bar drinks. I also ordered some hummas and olives, both of which were really delicious. Downsides- the service was slow (at least until I ordered two drinks at once and the waiter decided he could make some good money off of us). If you are looking for a party atmosphere, the terrace isn't really it. Since you are outdoors the sound dissapates so it keeps the vibe pretty low key (relatively speaking for a bar). Also, my drinks were really weak. I was drinking the pear lemon drop, and managed to drink 5 and was just barely buzzed. That becomes a very expensive night of drinking potentially.

I don't like this location much, even though it's the one where I got my membership. The sales guy was way too pushy and the personal trainer who met with me during my "please join!!!!" sales pitch MADE FUN OF OVERWEIGHT PEOPLE AS THEY WALKED PAST THE OFFICE. I feel like that's worthy of capslock - clearly I was there because I felt I needed to lose weight, so why would you mock overweight people right in front of me? Anyway, this location's kind of dingy and depressing. The machines are really close together, so if I'm here I try to go at non-peak times so I can have my personal space. At least the equipment works, for which I give two stars. The showers are naaaaasty - curtains don't cover the stalls. ICK. I wish I had a bigger place so I could buy my own exercise equipment. I hate going to all Gold's locations, really, but I hate this one most of all. Can't wait for my contract to end!
