by Madlyn Guempel on So, I was trying to show a friend from TN the nicer/trendy areas of metro detroit.....we got hungry, walked passed woody's, decide to go in. First Mistake. Everything was fine while we were greeted and sat. Whom ever sat us, was very friendly. Then We get to the blind leading the blind.... One girl drops off our water because our waitress is clearly "too busy" mind you, when I work, I command upwards to 13 tables...so 3 tables to me, when one is done...IS NOT busy. Whatever, Maybe she's new. No set dress code, which is fine, and relaxed...and maybe my personal opinion that wool boots and booty shorts shouldn't be worn while serving tables...that may just be me. So she gets to our table, with a girl shes apparently training whom I immediately felt sorry for after she uttered the words " What do you want to eat, or have you figured it out yet?" and stuttered while saying so...My first thought....are you serious? we place our order, sit, watch two more tables walk in, the larger get served while the couple that sat in the booth in front of us were ignored and eventually got up and walked out after not being greeted or even acknowledged. What I assumed to be the owner was sitting with buddies eating and helping running food to the all of like 5 tables this server had and not even paying attention to all the empty glasses and the fact that two patrons just walked out....now being a server you notice things like that around you and you know the 5 min it takes to refill drinks that you could send your trainee to do. (mind you her trainee was waiting on one of her 5 tables) After our empty glasses sat there and we finished our meal then she asked if we wanted refills and dropped off our check and told us have a good day....Not intending on returning to the table as im sure if we needed change...we would have had to hunt her down. I don't know if all those girls are currently training or what it is, but I surely would not go in unless I was tricked or they were giving things away for free. That seriously had to be the worst service I have ever received.
by Jason K. on The minute I walked into this place, I immediately wanted to leave. The music is too loud and it is filled with tourists/people who just moved to LA from the Midwest. There is a hip-hop room which looked promising, but still a little cheesy.
