by Jen S. on Bar Chi is cool. It definitely does not compare to Kenichi or Imperia but for a great happy hour and laid back atmosphere, it works. We went late night and coincidentally the Happy Hour was still running. I am not sure if this is normal or a fluke, as I haven't been able to find a website for them yet. Either way our wine was $4 a glass. Not bad. The music was a bit loud and playing some trance type Pandora station. It reminded me of being at Tao in Vegas a little. I think that's the vibe they are going for. We definitely will go back as I would like to sit in the restaurant side and not just the bar. Best of luck to the new owners... I was starting to think this place was cursed.
by Chi N. on As we all know, there are about 4 classy joints to eat in Dorchester. DBar happens to be one of them. The dim lighting makes it a smooth and snazzy place. Their menu is filled with innovative cuisines which will tickle your taste palette. I prefer the Gianonne Chicken Under a Brick. The chef makes the skin crispy and delicious while the inside filled with rich tenderness.
by Kieth Ricciuti on this place could really be something if they made some changes... it hasn't been a good bar/club in quite a few years. the one thing i do love about this place though is the decor and huge round bar. all the dark red velvet, the chandeliers, the private tables, the mirrors... something cool about that combination, but rouge just doesn't have any edge to it. in fact, i don't know anyone who goes here. is it even still open? someone tell harry denton to re-vamp its image and clientele and maybe we'll come back. i feel the same way about ruby skye. its sad really.
