I love this place! I love Thursday nights! With DJ Ray Rhodes at TigerHeat! Best Regards, Angel Bonilla http://www.MTVAngel.com

Walking in Bruno's main room was like that show Cheers, but with Common's music playing in the background. Interesting. It was super packed with all the stools with the wall seats occupied by the more mature & diverse crowd which is always good with me. I didn't even attempt to get drinks in the main bar because it was so crowded so off to the second room. So the second room had a mini bar swarmed with those who couldn't get a drink in the main room (go fig.) & had a busy dance floor. This is the room where they put their featured DJ's, & that night the DJ was from Chicago. Apparently out of all Artists he choose to represent the Chi, he chose R. Kelly-HILLARIOUS. Even with the liquor comforting me i just couldn't get myself to 'step in the name of love'...Eventually he redeemed himself with some reggae & i was on the floor moving. Outside, the 'hot dog stand' is waiting for you. You know, those bacon hot dogs that sober you up after one bite. This is the only location aside from 11th that I've seen these good stands waiting for you. Added bonus.

a bar? on a barge? in the hudson? with excellent nosh and a dance floor? sign me up! been here once, couldn't believe i've never heard of it! an amazingly well (guarded?) secret, never got too crowded (not as if you'd notice... the place is huge--and on 3 levels!). only open in the summertime, it has the most outstanding view of the manhattan skyline clear up to 125th street. and new jersey too, if you're into that. downside--minimum walk = 3 avenues from any subway. also, they give tours with historical facts on the sinking of the Frying Pan.
