But this review is for the club.. which was pretty bleh Knowing that big, big names in EDM come to Vanguard.. I was expecting it to be super nice seeing pictures of the chandeliers and hearing of this outdoor second story patio or whatever.. but it's laughable in comparison to the Palladium (SUUUPER nice venue) *Dancefloor felt like we were packed like sardines.. aka SMALL with random bottle service tables in the way *The main room itself was like a freaking SAUNA.. no ventilation whatsoever.. we had to walk outside so many times for air *Drinks were stiff but really pricey.. $12 for a blueberry vodka/sprite.. I guess that's typical in H-wood. *Only TWO bathrooms.. one for guys, one for girls and they were small and crampy! not to mention the lock didn't work for one of the stalls I was in :( The only pluses about this place is that it's 21+, the sound system was off the hook, and there's a coat check (not free). The outdoor patio is ehhhh... alright.. they had benches to sit down on at least. Rumor has it Kaskade is playing here for NYE..! I'd only come for big names but other than that.. this place is whacktastic.
by Starla Riebeling on I appreciate that Trigger seems over-produced for a San Francisco bar, but it's nice to have some variety that tries to dress it up! That said, I'm not into paying more for my drinks just to see someone in his or her underwear dance in a cage and make me feel fat.
by Andrew N. on Not a bad place to go out to, I got to say. It's different from the usual venues as it's pretty much all outdoors. Unfortunately, I was there on the coldest evening of the summer, but I can imagine this place to be amazing sitting on the top deck with the temperature in the 80s and having the breeze. Cash only - though they have 2 ATMs by that bar.
