by sherri s. on YES! YES! YES! Enjoyed this restaurant. It was a truly wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere is modern and cozy, service is top notch, quality of food is right on, menu choices are unique, desserts were delicious, and price seemed reasonable for city dining. I have already recommended this restaurant to several people! My Daughter and I started out with the small Salatim & hummus. (Seemed most every table in the restaurant started out with it as well! ) This is a tree assortment of small israelli dishes served with flatbread & hummus. I could not think of a better way to start a meal ...that plus my glass of wine was the perfect beginning! I could do this every night!!! My Daughter tried a specility martini and also seemed very pleased. One flatbread was not quite enough and the waiter quickly brought a second. Already full from this wonderful appetizer...we split two dishes. I was concerned 2 dishes were not going to be enough since everything is "small plates" however, we tend to always order too much food! We ordered the Fried cauliflower and also the crispy haloumi. Unique flavors and combinations that I never would have thought to mix and yet sooo delicious! This was just the right amount of food for 2 girls! We had just a little room left to split dessert. The choices were all very tempting and we decided on the baklava with a tiny scoop of honey ice cream. Great choice! On the menu was a 3 dish choice including dessert called "Ta'yim." It is $36 per person. Seemed like the way to go...and we were tempted to order this however, was glad we didn't...it was too much food for us. I highly recommend this restaurant. I just wish it were open for lunch!
by Camelia Lerer on Decent ethiopian food for relatively inexpensive prices. Dive-barish interior that pulls off the grungy-funky-cool thing to perfection. Is it the best restaurant in the area? No. Is it a cool, inexpensive place to grab some food and chill out with your friends? Absolutely.
