Wow, this place is a pretty swanky spot. I saw Ben Gibbard and Jay Farrar here this past weekend; this venue makes for amazing sounds, and the deco 30's elegance kicks it up another notch. Tables fill about 2/3 of the space, with the rest in fron for standing room. There is a two drink minimum for tables, and a separate full bar outside in the foyer/lobby area. Service is fast, drinks are fairly priced. Oh yeah I think I heard a bartender say it's cash only, not sure if this is just at the bar? A totally different experience than other venues in the city, although I wish there were bigger names playing here, I'd definitely come back.

Disclaimer: I'm not the biggest club goer so I may not be an expert or anything. I've only been here once for a friend's birthday party back in December. When we went we barely spent any time on the first floor (the main dance area?). I think we pretty much only saw it in passing as we headed downstairs. Downstairs there's two spots to be at. One of the rooms is very Virgin America plane-like with the pinkish-purple lighting. There's a bar with some lounge sofas and tables. I had an adios, which is.. an adios with a typical club price. It's quieter and less crowded and you can kinda kickback with some friends in this area. Then there's the basement like dance floor. It's really grungy, but I guess it's cool. The DJ wasn't bad. If I remember right their bathrooms are kinda cool cuz the sinks are outside. Unfortunately, our birthday girl left her dinner on their bathroom floor. I actually would come back here another time. And I would come earlier so I don't have to wait in line. PS parking in this area isn't the easiest esp when all the clubs start getting full, but sometimes you get lucky and find that playa parking spot.

le club ... pronounced LEH CLOOB, you morons! this place is IT! =D came here this past weekend and it couldn't have been a better evening... quite swanky and lovely ... you enter, and you're greeted by 2 fine gentlemen ... full of smiles and extremely polite guiding you up the stairs to le club... extremely classy, dim, with a modern touch of a nice dark shade of red ... sexy & elegant, a bit of coziness ... kinda gave me the bar noir ( http://www.rateclubs.com/us...in beverly hills, but you can say le club is more upscale ... and more crowded ... you walk in, and again, be greeted by 2 cheerful hostesses asking us whether we had ressies ... you look to your left, it's more of a private dining area, while you make it to the right, and be in an opened area ... walking towards the back, you will be entering a room with a pool table, no charge, just for whoever wants to play ... nice. this is TOTALLY* a place to bring someone for a date, you can actually make out the other person's conversation, enjoy fine wine (which we did!) and carry the night away ... you can also even order well drinks for $9, or a cocktail for $12... and even better! they offer a town car to take you home right to your doorstep -- now, ain't that SUPERB! :) kudos!! costs us only $10 back to the marina :) tips are based on discretion... perhaps because we were having a blast, a $20 tip was more than enough:) hahaha. which is GREAT because parking was INSANE! the crowd has more of an older crowd, not the typical marina folks, but more of those who are in their 40s and such, but i did see a few folks who were in their 30s. perhaps i was the ONLY one who was in her 20s.. ;) so prepare ... le club .. you were great! :) i shall return ... *le sigh*
