I like this place, have seen a lot of great bands here, and the bartenders can make a killer Sidecar. But I'm not sure the stairs in the bathroom/alcohol combo is such a great idea.

Moya used to be considered an Americanized Ethiopian restaurant. Now, they have moved even further away from traditional Ethiopian food into "fusion" with only a handful of Ethiopian dishes. Their menu is honestly hard to get a grasp on and is trying to do too much. The service has been off and on; either horrible or decent. Servers are slow and not very friendly for the most part, but I've found servers that are both prompt and friendly. Sadly enough, living across the street, I never see people there. I'm not sure if they're renovating or just having a tough time with business. There is definitely potential there, with their facility and location, but I think their service and muddled "fusion/lounge" concept has caught up to them. If you want authentic Ethiopian food, just go further up Clairmont by Pure (the nightclub). There are several there. Most are small and frequented by Ethiopians.

TGIF night and we had tickets to watch four time Grammy Nominee Jazz Artist, Gerald Albright! We had dinner reservations a must. Now I've been here before and I feel that this review is long overdue! Every experience here was always awesome. Valet parking is fast, convenient and affordable. The architecture of this place real nice. The food always magnificent! Tonight we ordered the following for a party of three: Miso Soup, Hearts of Romaine & Tokyo Mizuna Salad (with enoki and miso caesar dressing), Kakiage (tempura fritters with baby shrimp and Monterey scallops), Tempura Lobster Blossoms (wrapped in tempura fried seaweed: lobster, shrimp, scallops, shiitake mushrooms with tentsuyu dipping sauce on the side), Grilled Black Tiger Prawns, Dragon Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, Tempura Roll, Spider Roll and a Caliente Roll. For dessert the Creme Brulee. The food again of course the bomb! Waiter service was okay. Ambiance nice! Now for the club, it's small, but real nice and cozy inside. Waiter service is available to quench your thirst and satisfy your appetite. There's really no bad seat in the house. So if you're craving for good sushi and love smooth jazz this is the place to be! I only have a few suggestions for Yoshi's. More attention on the waiter service, but most of all, get rid of the disposable cheap wooden chopsticks...
