by Nadia Lafollette on I first went to Suede to check out the venue when it was hot last year. The next few times were for friends' birthdays because I felt obligated. Now I won't even go for anyone's birthday, I'd rather be a jerk and stay home. The ventilation (or lack thereof) in this place is horrible. It gets so muggy and gross that I'd rather not even bother. I've given this place so many chances and each time it just doesn't get any better. I can't stand sweaty backs pressing up against me all night long. I just can't stand it. This lone star is for nice security and efficient bartenders.

by Isabel E. on How is it possible that I have never reviewed FLIP!?! Hmm...well, I must remedy this immediately so here goes! I'd like to have this on record: I LIKE FLIP. Not LOVE, but I'm in definite LIKE with the restaurant. Very reasonably priced designer burgers that are tasty, delicious, and good for the heart. (Well, maybe just the first two..) My favorite here is the Butcher cut burger, because I am a huge fan of blue cheese anything! I definitely enjoy the burgers, but I'm not into their sides-- I think everything is a little too greasy to eat comfortably, including the fries. What I did love was the Nutella and marshmallow milkshake. Brilliant! So good and perfect for that hot sunny day when you can forget about caloric intake because you sweated it out walking up to FLIP from who knows which parking lot because theirs is WAY too small and packed. So, the food part out of the way, here's what I don't like about FLIP: 1. The wait (TO EAT A BURGER!!!) 2. The "witty" (I think not) modern decor 3. The lack of seating (hence #1, probably) So, come and judge for yourself...just don't come at a normal eating hour because you will for sure be waiting a whiiiiileee!! :-)
