We stopped by here for a birthday gathering. They reserve a small section for you if you promise to meet a $50 tab. For a bigger section you need to shell out a lot more money. I heard about this place before when they were doing a 20s theme but when we went, they played hip hop. It was decent hip hop too none of that annoying MTV stuff that's shoved down your throat. We got in just before the end of happy hour but the bar tender still charged us the regular price. WTF? We asked before buying even. Not cool but we didn't want make a fuss because we did order five minutes before 9pm. There's a cover after 10pm. I ordered the pomegranate champagne drink (regular price) that was pretty decent. The lounge area is nice but it gets crowded later in the evening. The crowd was diverse which was definitely a good thing. Get here early if you plan on sitting. There was no room to dance because there were lots of people but I dunno if people usually dance here anyway. Also, if you bike or you're a male who carries a messenger bag, leave it at home. One of the birthday party guests got turned away at the door because he biked and had a bag. Lame but what can you do? I'd give it somewhere in the 3.5 range.

This is a great location during the day or twilight hours of the night (I highly recommend that you go here before it gets dark so you can take in the outdoors!). That being said - I highly recommend the outdoor seating when the weather is nice because Atlantic Station is great for people watching! I am Obsessed with their Guacamole and Pomegranate Margaritas!! Wait staff here is fabulous - ambiance is great and food is fantastic!

OK, Leonardo DiCaprio was at Avenue when I was there... That definitely earns a star for something. But seriously, the proprietor claims Avenue to be a "gastro-club" or something- this place totally isn't about the food. It's about absurdly priced $22 drinks, models dancing on tables, and tons of indoor cigarette smoking. Now, the music was great, the atmosphere is beautiful, but I'm not coming back unless someone else is paying.
