I was much looking forward to trying this place because of all the wonderful reviews and the attractive photos. We went here for my friend's birthday - she booked one of their private rooms. Alas we entered, and all the descriptions that I remembered from Rateclub in the back of my head did not hold true. I was expecting classy, chic, and upscale and I got wannabe, rude, and trashy. We drove into the front and asked for the valet. I asked the valet how much it was and I quote him on this "It's $12 but I'll take $20 :wink wink:" Are you kidding me? This place is in one of the best neighborhoods of the city and he has the balls to talk to me like that? We gave $20 because we wanted him to not do any harm to our car..but how uncalled for. Heavy doors whisked open for you?" Are you kidding me? No way. I felt like I stepped into a zoo of dirty hipsters as I walked in here, and I was getting squished by everyone as I made my way past the bar to my friend's room. Other people thought it was also appropriate to waltz into our party and make use of the space and help themselves to sharing with them - big no no. The bartenders are the worst I have ever dealt with - rude and don't pay attention to you unless you consistently tip high (at least the bald bartender there is like that). Other than that, I give a solid 3 stars nonetheless because this place has a lot of potential but they need improve two major things: 1) service - Everyone from the valet to the bartenders were rude or pulled out uncalled for words. I have never experienced such disrespect before. 2) use of space. It's a gorgeous lounge/bar inside and they even have a pool table, poker table, and chess...which is pretty nifty since most lounges don't offer that, however, they can't just let everyone in. I honestly couldn't even enjoy the bar area as everyone was jumping at you like animals to get their drink orders and the same people were spilling drinks all over the place as they were trying to get past you.

Who knew that the Aquarium could be so much fun for us grown folks!!!!! I decided to attend Jazz Journeys, talk about a great place for a night out.... I took my place in the front row... So I could get the best out of my experience........and what can I say.....Ken Ford was amazing he rock that house well the aquarium in this case. If you have ever been here you know that the crowds at this place can get a lil crazy... but it was just the right amount of people you could walk and see every exbited I even had a chance to touch one of the live shrimp ( man were they fast) Other then having the pay for the 10 dollar parking I have to say this was a great experience..... Please its a must try befor the end of summer!

Ah summer. Well, it took a while for summer weather to show up in New York this year, but when it did, a few of my friends happened to be visiting and so we went here for some outdoor relaxing. Basically it's a bunch of tables and chairs on a boat (note: I get motion sick easily, but the slight rocking of the boat didn't really get to me at all until I had several beers in my stomach. My other friend who spends a ton of time on boats didn't even know it was swaying until I told him). The breeze of being on the water is great on a warm summer day. A bonus is you get to see a lot of helicopters taking off and landing near by. I didn't pay for the beer, so I don't know how much it cost (easy enough to find out, and it wasn't absurd if I remember correctly), but a bucket of Coronas and limes on a boat is hard to mess up. Refreshing. Eventually after drinking a bit and having not eaten all day, I went to get a burger. You have to place your order up at one of the bars and wait to pick it up, fast food style, at the next "bar" like area. Took a bit of time, but nothing unreasonable, and they announce your number on loudspeaker. The burger was way better than I had hoped it would be, very big and juicy and good quality meat. Perfect for the day and the setting. Can't comment on other foods. 2 quick comments: - We got there early afternoon and got a table easily, but as time went on it got fairly crowded. - Finding the bathroom (on the attached adjacent boat) is a bit of an adventure, and its honestly kind of spooky down there.
