Oh Glorias. I was so excited for you to open in the former Oakwood Grocer spot at the Domain. So close to my work, and a cute patio. But you have disappointed me. I've been here twice now, and it's been mediocre at best. Round 1: Small group sitting outside. Spotty service. And the food - I was excited to try the sampler platter (papusas, a tamale, plantains, some beans) but it was marginal at best. Food temperature was cool...presentation was nice (nice large plates) but really didn't have much taste to it (fairly bland - not what I was expecting). The sangria was good, and you've got to appreciate their extended happy hour, but I'd probably go back to just drink and not eat...) Round 2: A margarita and some queso shared with a friend. The drink - pretty good. The queso - not so good. Watery. Also bland with some sad looking chunks of tomato floating about... Maybe things will improve? It's super cute inside decor-wise (and the Dyson hand dryers in the bathroom are something to experience) but the food could use some work. I might try you again Gloria's....3 strikes and you're out....but I might not....

Solid place on some things and not so solid on others. When I ordered drinks from the bar I got a bartender that wasn't the brightest bulb in the package, he had his mouth open the whole time and looked utterly lost. The bad part was we had to keep telling him what we wanted since he kept messing up but the good part was that the booze was double the amount I guess since he didn't know how much to put in. This wasn't his first day on the job either. We sat outside and the weather was great and ordered a pizza which was very tasty. Cool place and while I may not go back if I am in the area I wouldn't go out of my way to NOT go back. Decent place.
