on friday night, my friend decides we're going to grab a table w/ a bottle for his date and a friend. hot bulgarian waitress seats us next to this musclehead b&t group. dude walking by to get into his seat pushes me out of the way, which bouncer sees, and does nothing about. f it. wasn't worth the pleather on the dude's feet, anyway. it was an older crowd, but didn't matter. we got sliders, french fries shaped like legos, and really tasty seafood in sauce thingy (ok, i had a lot of the bottle by that time.) the sliders were 2 for $20, but wow, they were awesome. the fries were ok, but the seafood thingy would have been better if there had been more. the sauce was used for dipping the fries, and that was good, too. overall, i had a good time, but it was more the company and the hospitality of our waitress than anything else. i'd go back.

Yeah, I'm as shocked as you... I liked it. We were in the need for something different, and despite spending half of the night at our regular bar, we found it here. It was a Friday night, we got in free due to some stellar connections, and I really really liked the atmosphere. Not too crowded, relatively diverse, with both indoor and outdoor areas to suit whatever you were looking for. The dance floor wasn't anything especially nouveau or innovative, but it seemed like folks were having a good time. Drinks were strong and I liked how things were spread out, just in case you need to escape from a certain area, no need to have to pay cover twice! +1 star for the breathalyzer machine in the basement, despite it saying I was far drunker than I was. All around good times. I'm surprised to say I would return, without thinking twice.

Solid Asian fusion spot with great decor. Tao is, above all else, a fun place to dine. The best way to describe the environment is grandiose without being conceited. The small plates, appetizers, and deserts are all tremendous. We found ourselves wishing we had ordered more of them. The main courses though were a little on the weak and uninteresting side (for the price paid). My thought is come with a large group for Happy Hour. Order many small plates and share.
